Today let’s focus and talk about how much we girls love skirts during Summer – and possibly even all year round! As most of us (including myself) would reach directly to denim skirts, I now try to look for styles that have specific unique details yet can be worn on a daily basis. Slits and asymmetry are usually on the top of the list because it has a minimal detail that adds an effortless edge to the entire look. Sometimes I even tie jackets/shirts around the waist to enhance a casual vibe, BUT what if these details are combined into one single skirt?! Proven possible with the one I’ve worn in this post, a shirt style skirt. While this is only one of the many silhouettes I love for the season, edgy/statement skirts are easier than you can imagine when it comes to “what would you wear it with?” – just go with a simple white top, let the skirt do its thing.

Fabric is also an important factor in how to stay casual yet special. Some of my favorite fabrics include denim, cotton (shirt and trench style material for a structured look) and knit (more for Fall/Winter). I find that these fabrics can go anywhere with me and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion, AND they’re comfortable. 😉 Included some more styles below which I want and would definitely wear!
