Studded Up For Work

Working as an art director at an agency, I have a routine of building comfy yet dressy outfits. I need to dress professionally, but also have a flair of creativity and edge in my outfits. I am an art director after all, right? Haha. First off, I can never get enough of leather skirts, especially when it comes to those with unique, fluttery hemline designs and studs (such as the one I am wearing). Secondly, a comfy outfit needs a soft and huggable sweater/cardigan. This particular 2-in-1 shrug from All Saints is one of those sweaters that I can wear at least once or twice a week. The crisscross draped design is so relaxed and the way it gathers on the neck is distinctive compared to many other sweaters that otherwise gather on the bottom. The reason why this All Saints piece gathers by the neck is because once pulled over, it turns into a cardigan. In my pictures, I am wearing it as a sweater, but note that it’s a versatile piece that I feel is a must-have for the fall season. The crisscross design and collected neckline of the top in addition to the fun, studded, and layered design of the skirt mirror the likes of structured office attire, only with a more detailed and fashion forward edge. My outfit ends up being one that is office appropriate, composed, but having a little charm to it, which works out beautifully for me. Anyways, I’ve been having a stressful week from work – projects are piled up waiting to be finished by Friday, and being able to blog and share these thoughts with you guys is my way of taking a break from everything else. Thanks for visiting everyone!
