Ballon Bleu de Cartier

When I was younger, my parents and I had the habit of visiting the same 冰室 (pronounced: Bing Sutt) a.k.a Hong Kong styled cafe for breakfast every morning. No matter rain or shine, it became a routine of our daily lives. There were various breakfast options around where we lived growing up, but my family was extremely loyal to this one ‘Bing Sutt’. I still have vivid memories of our food being placed on the table almost immediately upon arriving because the servers knew what we liked to eat. My breakfast of choice was ham macaroni in soup and the classic egg sandwich. It was the warmth and the friendliness of the people that kept us coming back. Even though I don’t live in Hong Kong anymore, I’ll still make time to visit the the cafe I spent most of my childhood at.

Another habit I’ve inherited from my parents as a child are watch and accessory-wearing. Accessories are such versatile items, especially watches, because it’s timeless & functional, looks professional, and helps to enhance the overall outfit. For me, a watch is more than just a time-keeper that wraps around the wrist, it holds sentimental value. Many of the timepieces that I own are either gifts from people that I love or passed down from my parents. The Ballon Bleu de Cartier, the newer collection by Cartier, combines the signature Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands, has always been one of my favorite watches. The updated design of the watch looks extremely timeless, elegant, and cutting edge, which slightly resembles a watch my dad used to own. Speaking of accessories, Cartier’s newest version of Juste un Clou and Love are absolutely beautiful. Both bracelets have their own individual characters, yet they compliment together as a combo. They’re unisex and comes in three different colors: yellow gold, pink gold, and white gold. As you can see, I like wearing my Ballon Bleu watch, Juste un Clou and Love bracelet as a trio!
