Continuing from last post, we’ve talked about how important unique details are to amp up casual skirts to make a look a bit more edgy and not as casual anymore. In this post we continue to explore another silhouette that will actually make our legs look longer and thinner: high-waist midi skirt. The higher rise, the better. High-rise midi skirt tucks ‘everything’ in and helps contour our body shape and enhances our waistline as it hits right at the slimmest part of the waist. The perfect length is just below the knee to mid-calf, which gives us a very lady-like style. Midi skirt outfit is also very appropriate for Monday to Friday in-office ladies for a professional and chic styling.
Midi skirts work perfectly with heels to further enhance slimmer, longer legs, but also looks modern with sneakers. It really depends on the occasion and activities for the day. Speaking of modern, the hem is also one of the style focus for me because it greatly differentiates from hundreds of designs out there, and again, talking about uniqueness right? This uneven wrap hem and button detailing is more towards the casual side, so I chose a simple white button shirt for a slightly professional style paired with Roger Vivier sneakers to elevate the entire look.
